Regulations and Requirements for Storing Diesel

If you are storing diesel on a property, you need to comply with regulations set out by The Control of Pollution Regulations, such as:

● You must store oil in a container that’s strong enough to not burst or leak.

● Tanks and containers must be located within a containment system.

● Valves and pipes must be sealed to prevent leaking and then placed within a secondary confinement system, or a drip tray must be used to collect spills.

● Fixed diesel tanks must have a sight guarate with a valve that can be closed automatically.

● You must use automatic overfill prevention devices when you cannot observe the vent pipe or tank.

All of our diesel tanks are manufactured with these regulations in mind.
